Episode 67: AI in Video Games

May 23, 2013

Wherein we give our listening audience a reprieve from Magic and talk about something else. To my great surprise and satisfaction, we actually do a pretty good job of it.

I recently changed some of the site structure and how the feed works. The skullscast should now be visible any way you use to get at it, and the feed backlog should go as far back as our first cast.

Send all questions to @skullsasked on twitter. We also have ask.fm/skullsaksed in case you want to use that.

Episode 63: Enter The Infinite

February 9, 2013

Greetings skullscastillians! We’re back with the remaining three cards from Gatecrash that we put off reviewing until now because we wanted to talk a lot about them.

There’s a few things you’ll need:

Ask Wizards from 2007

“apostasy”

I keep a somewhat different notion of apostasy. Keep yer skulls polished.

Episode 42: Two-Headed Giant

September 25, 2012

Wherein medibot and myself speak at last from a position of some authority about a topic, in this case one of the lesser-played formats of Magic: the Gathering called Two-Headed Giant (or, if you’re a pillock, Two-Headed Dragon). We have played and love this format, and in this cast I hope to express how it is the greatest way to play Magic, and why you should never play anything else.

I mean it. It’s really good.

Episode 37: Rise of the Videogame Zinesters Review, Chapter 1

August 6, 2012

Wherein medibot and I continue our segment, called Skullsasked, where we answer listener questions and medibot gets sidetracked. You can send questions to my twitter @kazeugma and include the #skulls tag so I don’t simply answer them in a tweet.

And for the main event, we launch into our first book review. I borrowed a book from medibot and took notes, which I fumble through, fail to read, misremember and generally botch. And since we’re terrible at doing anything concisely this will be the first of some 17 casts.

Episode 29: The Special

June 12, 2012

Wherein medibot and I finally talk about what it means to be a skullscast, looking back on what we’ve done so far, and establishing rules for how we’re going to do things in the future, including a level system for magicchat. We wrap up with a rundown of future topics.

And for my personal reminder: Spalt, Advanced, Famous.
