Episode 67: AI in Video Games

May 23, 2013

Wherein we give our listening audience a reprieve from Magic and talk about something else. To my great surprise and satisfaction, we actually do a pretty good job of it.

I recently changed some of the site structure and how the feed works. The skullscast should now be visible any way you use to get at it, and the feed backlog should go as far back as our first cast.

Send all questions to @skullsasked on twitter. We also have ask.fm/skullsaksed in case you want to use that.

Skulls!

Episode 38: Medibot’s Ideal Game

Wherein medibot and I take on a user question and then answer a totally different one by accident.

I’m sure the apt reader can guess the answer.

Episode 20: Bottom Up, Top Down

May 3, 2012

Wherein medibot and I begin the discussion of the many tiny disagreements we are bound to have over the course of a long friendship about the design of things (mostly games, sometimes skulls). In particular, a few points about what I consider bottom up and top down design in Mark Rosewater-like terms, and a little reflection about what that might mean more grandly.

This is about as close as the pair of us are likely to get to seriouschat in the skullscast, so is groundbreaking for that reason.

And of course, enjoy your skull.

Episode 7: The Ideal Menu Item

November 7, 2011

Tonight! I ambush medibot and invite him to describe in detail a question he once asked me and now, by this posting, asks all of you as well.

It’s like a thought experiment, with an important bullet point at the end.
