Episode 67: AI in Video Games

May 23, 2013

Wherein we give our listening audience a reprieve from Magic and talk about something else. To my great surprise and satisfaction, we actually do a pretty good job of it.

I recently changed some of the site structure and how the feed works. The skullscast should now be visible any way you use to get at it, and the feed backlog should go as far back as our first cast.

Send all questions to @skullsasked on twitter. We also have ask.fm/skullsaksed in case you want to use that.

Greetings skullscastillians! We’re back with the remaining three cards from Gatecrash that we put off reviewing until now because we wanted to talk a lot about them.

There’s a few things you’ll need:

Ask Wizards from 2007

“apostasy”

I keep a somewhat different notion of apostasy. Keep yer skulls polished.

Have a look at the game for yourself here. We recently watched a friend play this game, and felt like talking about it. It is excellent for more than mere comedy.

Episode 57: The Inevitable Pokémon Discussion

December 28, 2012

And just why the hell does it have an acute accent, anyway?

Point is the two of us were bound to have a lengthy discussion about pokémon at some point, and this is hardly the last of them. That is if I can convince medibot that his failure to finish White is not an abdication of duty or a real reason to vacillate. More like the opposite.

We talk a lot about what is good about pokémon (themes and ideas) and what should change about it (all mechanical implementations).

Episode 54: Dungeons

November 12, 2012

Wherein medibot and take a tasting of dungeons.

Is there a word for going to a sampling of things you know are going to taste bad but you’re going there to see how bad or because you have to for some other reason? A tastelessing?

No, that sounds like we’re leasing taste.
Which we aren’t. Skip it.
